Showings

Each time we put up the show, it changes slightly, growing and learning from the previous times. Synchronous Forest has made two appearances to date. If you're interested in bringing the show to your area, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Version 1.0

Regis University, O'Sullivan Arts Center, Denver Colorado
March 12 - April 16, 1998

Regis University has a wonderful gallery space, with a theater lighting grid, very high ceilings, and a room so large as to be daunting to the installation artist. It used to be a basketball court.

Apparently, some of the administration is eyeing the space as a possible place to expand their offices. Please feel free to call Regis at 303-458-3576 and offer your opinions on this idea.

Version 2.1

The Museum of Outdoor Arts Madden Gallery, Englewood Colorado
February 15 - March 19th 1999

Despite the name of the museum, we were indoors. The Museum of Outdoor Arts (MOA for short) administrates a series of outdoor sculpture gardens, as well as providing classes for kids from 4 to 104 years old. They also have a gallery right in the middle of the classrooms. As part of the show, Lindy held an art class for 5th and 6th grade students, and we did a collaborative workshop on the processes and themes of the show. This involved drawing pictures of sounds and discussing environment and humans in relation to nature. It was fun.

The MOA installation was sponsored in part by the Colorado Scientific and Cultural Facilities District - Arapahoe County Cultural Council

The Future

Discussions are underway about bringing the show to Springfield College, Springfield Massachussets, in the Fall of 2000 or 2001.

If you are interested in helping us mount a showing, we'd love to talk to you about it. You can email Jeremiah Moore at or via telephone (+1)415-695-9095.
